The Management Team provides leadership and organizational oversight under the guidance of the Executive Director.

My name is Wynne Busman and I serve as the Executive Director of Infant Toddler Family Day Care. I was appointed to this position by the Infant Toddler Family Day Care Board of Directors in 2011. My training and experience includes Virginia State Teacher’s Certification, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, graduate level work in the field of Early Care and Education and Nonprofit Management, fifteen years as an Early Child Care Educator, ten years as a Child Care Specialist, and twelve years in the position of Associate Director. I also have experience working with children with special needs and training and mentoring Early Child Care Educators.

I enjoy seeing children learn from a variety of activities and to mentor the Child Care Specialists who visit in the homes. My work with Infant Toddler has given me the opportunity to build wonderful relationships with the educators, children, and parents who are an inspiration to me each day!

My name is Malia Anderson and I am your Child Care Specialist Coordinator at Infant Toddler Family Day Care. I have been with ITFDC since 1986. My training and experience includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Social Work, a child care provider with ITFDC from 1986 until 1992, an administrative assistant with ITFDC, a one-on-one training instructor, conducting in home training for the providers and later becoming a child care specialist in 1996.

I enjoy working with the providers and children in their homes. It is very rewarding to see the providers grow and develop as professionals and to observe them meeting the daily emotional, physical, social and educational needs of the children in their home. Meeting the needs of parents and searching for that ideal child care setting are both challenging and rewarding. During my visits, I love to read, sing and dance with the children. Observing the loving relationships that develop between the provider and her extended child care family gives me a very positive feeling, thus making my job more rewarding. My work with ITFDC has also given me the opportunity to building wonderful relationships with the providers, children and parents.

As a Child Care Specialist Coordinator & Events Director, I also serve on the ITFDC management team, coordinate ITFDC provider events such as graduation, international dinner, and our annual picnic. I am in charge of child care specialists issues in the absence of our Executive Director.

My name is Lisa Farinholt-O’Brien and I am the Workforce Development Director. I have been in this position since September 2005 and have over 20 years of experience with Infant Toddler Family Day Care. As the Workforce Development Director, I work extensively with each new child care provider, by guiding them through our process to become a child care provider. Just as children grow and develop through their relationships with caring adults, I believe that the relationships I form with each child care provider will help them develop their professional skills. Along with working with our new child care providers, I teach continuing education classes to all providers along with training and visiting our mentors. In addition, I serve on the ITFDC Management Team which includes organization decision making and taking on extra responsibility in the absence of the Executive Director.

My training and experience includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Longwood University and a MSW degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. In 2009 I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have a variety of experiences working with children of all abilities including working as an intern at Key Center (Fairfax County Schools). In addition, I spent four years working in residence life as an administrator at Longwood University and George Mason University and have also worked as a counselor at Planned Parenthood.

Hello, my name is Melinda Higbee. I joined Infant Toddler Family Day Care in 2014 as the Executive Assistant to our Director. I earned my BS degree in Business Administration from Strayer University.  Prior to joining ITFDC, I worked as a Legal Executive Assistant in a large corporation and now have over 25 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant.  Other areas I’ve especially enjoyed working in include my role as a Sunday school teacher, YMCA camp counselor and as a Girl Scout Leader. My name is Charlene Holloway and I am the Administrative Assistant-Receptionist at ITFDC.  I am the mother of five children which consists of one daughter, who is the oldest and four boys.  I have obtained my Associates Degree in Business Administration, and have been working on my Bachelor’s with a concentration in Human Resource Management.  I have a passion for helping families with children.  I am pleased to be a part of Infant Toddler Family Day Care.

My background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management with a minor in Managerial Accounting from the University of Maryland.  Additionally, I have extensive training in marketing,  social media and nonprofit management.  I have enjoyed using my skills in assisting providers to start new businesses and helping families with their child care needs.

Hi, my name is Jinky Recerone and I am your Virginia Quality/Curriculum/USDA Specialist at Infant Toddler Family Day Care. My training and experience includes a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with focus in Health Systems Management and a minor in Nutrition. I am working to finish Master’s in Early Childhood Development. I am a proud mother of an athletic girl who excels in figure skating and gymnastics. I was a child care provider at Infant Toddler Family Day care since 2009 until the end of June 2018. I enjoyed my time as provider because I developed good and lasting relationships with all the children and families I served. It was a very humbling and most rewarding experience of my life to watch an infant grow into a confident toddler. It is always my passion to nurture and serve. Also, I am currently engaged in volunteering as an assistant teacher at St Joseph’s Sunday school.

As a Virginia Quality/Curriculum/USDA Specialist, I am here to assist providers to set up a developmentally appropriate, healthy and safe childcare environment. I will also be our providers’ technical assistant so we can achieve the goals of Virginia Quality together.

My name is Priscilla Kostick and I am your Child Care Specialist at Infant/Toddler Family Day Care.  I joined the Infant/Toddler staff in July 2009.  I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia and have over ten years of experience in helping parents work through some of life’s many challenges.  I have my Masters Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s in Family Studies and Early Childhood Development.  Prior to moving to Virginia in 2004, I worked at a family shelter in Boston for five years where my responsibilities included individual counseling with the residents and overseeing the shelter’s on‐site Children’s Center.    Choosing family day care for your child is choosing a provider who will love, nurture, and encourage your baby to play and grow.  Parents can choose from one of many Infant/Toddler providers and the right fit will greatly ease the transition back to work.  I look forward to meeting each of the providers, children, and parents and know that the relationship we have will benefit each child’s day care experience.

DC Shared Services Business Alliance

Welcome to Our Family!  My name is Saundra Armstrong and I am Project Manager for the DC Shared Services Business Alliance Project.  I have over 16 years of experience in early care and education, having worked with both center and family home providers in both the District of Columbia and Central Maryland.  I have worked extensively to provide oversight of the shared services project in Washington, D.C. and will provide new program participants support, encouragement, and guidance as they progress through our training classes, the mentoring process and complete the paperwork requirements.

My training and experience includes a Bachelor of Administration degree in Human Development, and experience as a Director, Assistant Director, Program Manager, Teacher and School-Age Coordinator.  I have served in several leadership positions with early care organizations including the DC School Aged Care Alliance and the Washington Association for Child Care Centers, and have facilitated workshops in child development, health, safety and nutrition, curriculum, professionalism and community.

My name is Brandi Johnson and I am the Child Care Specialist on the DC Shared Services Business Alliance project at Infant Toddler Family Day Care.  I relocated from Michigan to the DC Metropolitan Area in 2013.  I am a MBA graduate with a passion and love for children and their education.  I have cared for and worked with children of all ages for most of my life.  Before coming to ITFDC most recently, I was an Early Education Program Manager and Administrator at an early childhood learning center in the District of Columbia, so I definitely understand the importance of quality childcare.  I truly look forward to working with the providers and getting to know the parents and children at DC Shared Services Business Alliance/ITFDC.

My name is Stephanie Bonilla and I am the project specialist for DC Shared Services Business Alliance in DC.
