From Makayla’s Mentor
I had the pleasure to mentor Ms. Makayla Walker as a future provider with ITFDC. She was motivated, always had a positive attitude, and was very passionate about working with children.
She was able to perform various activities with the children in a professional and supportive manner to include reading, building blocks, coloring, etc. She has the skills, compassion,
attitude, and attention to detail that it takes to be a great childcare provider. I recommend her and believe she will be a great provider with ITFDC. All of the children loved learning from her and I believe she will do a great job.

From Makayla
I want to be a childcare provider because I enjoy helping children grow, learn, and feel cared for in a safe and nurturing environment. I believe early childhood education is the foundation for lifelong learning and development, and children thrive through play, exploration, and positive guidance. My goal is to support the whole child—socially, emotionally, and academically—while building strong connections with families.
