Reflective Discipline with Jacky Howell
October 23 – “Beyond Time Outs: Reflecting on Positive Discipline”
This training will provide participants the opportunity to explore the concept of ‘positive discipline’ in an early childhood classroom. This training will look at the differences in using positive discipline strategies vs. punish-ment in light of research in brain development & current thinking in child development on using positive (cont.) strategies. Using participant’s experiences, they will be able to create a foundation in which to build appropriate discipline strategies that promote children’s social/emotional development.
